The 40 mile drive...thats what I do. every day, each way. to and fro...(who says "fro" anymore?). Anywhoo, I've come to notice some very interesting things on that thing we call a freeway. One of which is, dogs as passengers. You know they must both love and hate the ride. Love it for the wind in their faces..the freedom of movement...all the things to see.
Hate it for the quick stops. I mean dig it..they got no thumbs..so you know their going to fall. Imagine they're sitting there, chilling with a nice breeze, and "BLAM!" quick stop! They slide off the seat. Ya just know they're thinking..."bastards!"
Ahh..if they could only talk..you wanna hear a blue streak...I bet they'd have some choice words for that guy who gets on the freeway and takes the term "slow lane" literally.

I heard a child on the other end of the line, at work today...Remember when all we had to worry about was what we were going to get for our birthday and christmas? Ah, simpler times....Now its, What's my co-pay? How much is this going to cost me? Was that mole there yesterday?

But I digress. I look at my dogs, they get up, they eat, sleep and shit. Just like babies. All they worry about is when are they going to eat next. Just like babies. All this without oppossable thumbs.

Imagine what they could do if they had thumbs....

Peace.
